Do you realize how effective and how much money you make blogging for your hometown?
If you own a brick and mortar business or online business, a chance to "cash in" has never been greater. Let me show you why and how.
Blogging for local businesses creates an almost "birth certificate" feel. You can comment on local events, such as sports or local political campaigns. You May want to mention that your job support the local children or the elderly. As your business gives to human society, and the like. Make sure that people actually want to read your blog even "catch up on what's happening around town." You can have "guest bloggers" as well as local politicians and coaches. I guarantee people will become involved and comment on your site.
But what if you do not have a local business? You can actually start for one another. You can meet with a local restaurant or a car, and promote for them. Start a blog that you have them. (with their permission, of course!) set a link to download the coupon or words such as "mentioned in this blog." The contract with the business owner could be a percentage or a certain amount of money every time someone uses a coupon or mention your blog.
You can also promote your online business on a local level. You can talk about a local event and at the same time advertising your internet business. You can still call the locals and comment on news or sports area.
How to start promoting your blog? Well, first check the local newspaper and see if they are in need of a column writer. Go prepared, tell them what you offer and how people will be excited to read your article. Newspapers are often open to it, especially if doing a good job and it does not cost them anything. You May want to interview coaches a couple of areas and spend a few dollars on an ad in the school program to promote. Make sure you include more interviews than local writers to get! Try to get a coach to "open". Once people read the interview and see the services they provide, they are sure to come back. You can also have a presence in the local online catalog. It is very inexpensive and sometimes free.
Do not forget to use video and audio downloads to make your blog more real and appealing. If a local event happens, take your camera. Remember, people like that on film, and especially their children. People will sign on, only to see his kids!
I hope this article will show you or inspires you to have a presence in their community and around the world. No more interesting or fun way to promote your online business. It is amazing to see these blogs or articles take on a life of their own and become a "place" for local chatter and at the same time promoting your internet marketing business!
to your success,
Greg Roberts
