If you want your name as a speaker "out there", not just building a website. You should also have your own blog. Blogging should be the center of your social networking, and should be cross referenced to other social networking sites. However, remember not to make these three mistakes you can make your blog less efficient.
1 Failure to have your blog the center of social networking system - Neglecting your blog can be a big mistake. Making your blog the center of your system means you can communicate more clearly and more in-depth and people will spend more time on your blog and reading your posts. Use the "WordPress" blog to connect to the rest of your social networking sites. Every time you post a blog, it will automatically be posted on other sites such as Facebook and Twitter. You can set it so that all your articles in ezines and tweets from Twitter appear on your blog.
2 Failure to post frequently on his blog - if people go to your blog and have not reported on time, it means that your blog is not important or relevant. This is likely to turn even from the people. You have to ask at least once a week, but several posts a week was even better. You can always find new things to post, even if you only update what was already published. You can post "top" of the week, a recent article you wrote, videos that you create or those of others that are relevant to your blog. You can even invite guest bloggers to write posts for your site.
3 Failure to encourage readers to comment on my blog - If you have comments posted on his blog, then something is wrong. Comments make your blog seem active, current, and relevant. Make sure you invite readers comments whenever you announce your blog via e-mail, Twitter, Facebook, etc. Be sure to begin your comments by sending his own and then ask others know comment as well. When readers see previous comments on his blog, which encourages them to comment. Often, people do not want to be first in line for something and that includes making comments.
Your blog can be a real asset of your marketing strategy, and can make people interested in learning more about you. Be sure that your blog is effective to avoid these three big mistakes.
